Many people pay a lot of attentions on the maintenance of the mixer truck chassis. They maintain their chassis strictly according to the instructions timely. However, they don’t pay attention on the maintenance on the hydraulic systems of mixer truck. They think it doesn’t matter whether to change the hydraulic oil and the gear oil. Some of them even think the mixer upper structure never needs maintenance. For these misunderstandings, here I have to give some explanations. It’s very important to maintain the mixer truck upper structure in order to keep it with long life.
To maintain the hydraulic systems of mixer truck is mainly including: change the hydraulic oil, replace the oil cooler filter, and change the gear oil.
Hydraulic
oil
Hydraulic oil is very important in the hydraulic systems. It can transfer the power, lubricate, flush, anti-rust, cool the air and release the water vapor in the systems. Keeping the hydraulic oil with high quality and clean is the key point to maintain the whole systems’ operations.
When the hydraulic system is working, there will be some impurities getting into the oil, such as the welding slag, paint, rubber, grinding material, dust, water and gelatinous material produced by oil oxidation, ect. These impurities will get into the parts of pump and motor and will destroy the lubricating oil film between the parts, hurt the piston, oil plate and other parts likes valves, so that it will cause the leakage of the pressure and high temperature, shorten the motor’s life. If the big impurities block up the damping hole oil the oil system or stuck the valve cone, the equipment will be out of control suddenly. If the concrete cannot be released timely, there will be a big lost. If the hydraulic oil hasn’t been changed for long time, the performance of the oil will also gradually decline which will cause the work weakness, fever, and high temperature. Even worse, it will cause the oil deterioration and will damage the internal accessories of the pump motor.
Oil cooler filter
Oil cooler filter is just as the kidney of the human body. It makes the blood (hydraulic oil) clean and pure so as to keep the best environment of the working system. A qualified filter firstly should meet the accurate filter requirement so it can filter the Hazardous particles and colloid substance in the oil; secondly it can keep the colloid won’t be melted and the filter paper won’t be deformed when the system is with high temperature and high oil pressure.
Unfortunately, most filters in the market are not qualified. Because the cleanliness of the oil is not qualified, there are a lot of problems on the pump and motor, such as the noise, high temperature, working weakness, insensitive control, ect. Please choose the original oil and filters to maintain the mixer and keep the system working normally.
Gear Oil
The gear oil is mainly to lubricate, flush and anti-rust.
When the gearbox is working, there will be some metal grinding material caused and its sediment will be absorbed by the magnet of the oil released stud. When the grinding material is cumulated to some quantities in the oil, it will speed up the worn of the gear and the bearings. Meanwhile, if the oil hasn’t been changed for long time, the performance of the oil will be decline and it will influence the use life of the gearbox.
Therefore, after 500 hours using of the new mixer truck, the hydraulic systems have to be maintained for the first time, to change the hydraulic oil, filter and gear oil. Eight months after the first maintenance, the second maintenance should be done.
